I bought and sold simultaneously on him, wanted to mitigate some risk. As a 1B-only with a .290 OBP though, he could quickly become a dead asset.

Stewart (.378 ISO) and Mejia (170 wRC+) are both raking in AA. I'm laughing.

Manaea Mania is riding a 16% swstr and 60% GB rate so I'm cool for now. I think it can work out well for both of us. I can see why you sold him though, his mechanics are whack and that's definitely a bugaboo for you.

I know you like to overreact to tiny sample sizes, but Pearce isn't going to hit under the Mendoza line all year.

I'm more worried that he'll be relegated back to platoon status because of the slow start. Guy finally gets a chance, and is blowing it.

No you're right, maybe just long enough to help sink the Jays' season. His elbow is fucked, his throws in from LF are worse than Khris Davis. I've actually noticed Sportsnet tends to cut away from his throws, maybe they're trying to hide it a bit. Watch next time he goes to hit the cutoff man, guaranteed Rogers cuts away to a different shot.

It's remarkable just how useless Bautista, Pearce, and Travis have all looked. It's like they have no clue how to hit anymore.

Bautista was swinging through 89mph meatballs from a lefty last night. Pearce is channeling Tim Tebow. Travis is hitting the ball about as hard as your average 14 year old would.

Even Bautista's pulled balls are dying before the warning track. The Jays won't even be able to trade him if they rebuild at this rate.

You mean like after he throws the ball, they cut away to a shot of, the guy receiving the ball?
You've really broken the story open here, gumshoe.

No, I mean like before he throws the ball. Which is what I said.

Grant is once again taking shots at Boxy over the Mariners' offense in the Around Baseball thread. What a weird hill to die on. Objectively, wrong, and not only will he not admit it, he keeps bringing up how right he was.

I haven't followed the exchange but isn't every hill a hill to die on with Grant?

Yes, but this is a bit unique in how incredibly wrong he is. He can usually slither away but first, he ignored valid rebuttals but then today doubled down on it. All I called him out on was what he said in my signature, and since they had the second best offense last year, it's obviously false. Now he asserts that I called them elite when I never did.

This guy must have a serious mental health issue. It's not normal for someone to be this disconnected from reality.

Martin being a useless tit all year bench him and he hits a homerun.... Sounds about right.

So annoying. I've benched Pujols twice for sucking, and both times he went deep.
