I went to the Grand Bahia or somewhere in Jamaica over the break. They try and sell you a lot of shit and the service isn't great but once you get past that it's a very nice place. The excursions are expensive though. And in the buffet there's a great waiter who everyone loves.

    Probably a 7/10 or so.

Just did a cruise on Allure of The Seas with the family. That thing is incredible.

If you're ever back, you should check out some of the Cayos (Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco etc), IMO and a lot of other people's they are even more beautiful!

Thinking of doing a cruise or resort for the next vacation, not sure where to go just yet though. Been to Cuba and Dominican already, may try something new, although I loved my Dominican trip.

It would be my wife and kid. The problem for me is I wanted to do something in August because it's going to be our 5 year anniversary, but then there is the issue of most places being too hot. I may just push it to December/January and then do a smaller trip in the summer.

Been to Bermuda? Beautiful place and great time to go.

Or a cruise out of New York (Quantum of the Seas) to Bahamas.

    Couple of ideas...

My friend went to T&C, she said it was great. I've always wanted to go.

One of our favourite places in the world is the Beaches resort there. Amazing.

For a family, Atlantis is the Bahamas is really cool. It's really good for all ages though, swimming with dolphins/seals, waterpark, snorkeling ect.. just a great family place.. I was just there with my son a couple months ago but I first went a couple years ago in late August. Its actually not too hot at all.. but its hurricane season that time of year. But what would happen is it'd be nice all day.. then rain for a bit in the late afternoon.. but like an hour later you couldn't tell it rained.

Actually our next trip with be to the Dominican though for like a 3-4 day trip.. The Puerto Plata region as they have this place called Ocean World that seems really cool.

That looks amazing. I've never done a cruise before so that may be what I end up doing. Will look into this, thanks for the recommendation.

No sweat. My wife always says I'm like a part time travel agent. LOL. I obsess over planning all our trips and we/I get to travel quite a bit.

We LOVE cruises. Likely you would do. Most of the old complaints (tiny crappy rooms, set dining times, too formal, no fun for kids) are totally irrelevant on these new ships. They're amazing. My kids LOVE it.

This ship is brand new obviously and cruises out of New Jersey port to Bahamas which might be ideal if you're going during warmer months. If you want to cruise or do a resort in Dec-Feb you have to go further south.
