Nah I'm not, but also not ham-fisted as FUCK political/social commentary in my horror.

Sluts need to die and drinking/drugs gets you eviscerated is as far as I'll go.

    IT is fantastic.
To me, it's more of a kid caper than a horror movie.

    Wind River is pretty good.

Ironically IT was filmed in Toronto and Port Hope. Thought that was pretty interesting when I learned that as I had no idea watching the movie.

Wind River sucked. I usually like JR but his acting was pretty lame I thought. I saw it at the theatre based on reviews and thinking of the much better Mystic River (similar name probably isn't coincidental)

Wow, watched Blade Runner 2049 last night in IMAX, I really thought it was incredible, better than the original in many ways.

I can see it not being for everyone, especially with the daunting run time and slow pace, but holy shit this movie is beautiful.

They are really different movies I feel, scope is way wider in the sequel and honestly that can be disastrous, but they made it work really well.

To me, this is one of the most powerful scenes i've seen in film, and not to mention absolutely gorgeous to look a. Really great cinematography in this movie.

I really enjoyed it. The only gripe I have is the running time. To be fair, I saw the 10:35pm show, so I was getting tired...but there were a couple of scenes that felt like they really dragged on. I think they could've cut 15-20 minutes and really tightened it up...but that just minor nitpicking. The story was solid...the visuals were impeccable.

Wind River is the name of the actual reservation it was filmed on.

Funny enough, the pace and moody tone remind me of Mystic River now that I think of it.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would think it sucked. I agree Jeremy Renner's performance was pretty bland. Elizabeth Olsen's character was frustratingly stupid too and should have been written a bit differently IMO. But the whole thing was cool and satisfying.

I'm curious to see how Madea Halloween 2 does when it opens next Friday. If you like to yell at the movie screen, get out there, folks. You'll be in good company.

Watched Don't Breathe last night. It's a very tense movie with a cool concept.
