I went to the Premier of Solo in LA last Thursday. It's a pretty good movie, about as good as Rogue One. Starts off really slow though.

Guys! A quiet place is the movie to see. I was always at the limit of my seat and with my heart in my hands with the suspense

I just saw Infinity War for a fourth time. I think I have a problem.

Let me know what you think. I won't spoil anything but the first 20 to 30 min are pretty mediocre but hang in there it gets better.

DP2 comes out. Reviews are generally quite positive. Seeing it on Tuesday.

No, not a fan of 3D. I've been told that I should see it IMAX though so I'm considering seeing it again.

Deadpool tonight. I have very low expectations for this one but hopefully it'll surprise me.

Cineplex seems to have some sort of issue any time I see a movie the Thursday night it opens. When I saw the Last Jedi it started all blurry, almost like it was the 3D version, so they had to fix it and restart the movie. Then with Infinity War they couldn't seem to get it started until the previews. And then last night with Deadpool was probably the weirdest situation yet. The movie shut off about halfway through and then after a couple of minutes someone who worked there came in and said we had to evacuate the building and to keep our tickets so that we could trade them in for another night. Then the movie came back on and they rewound it to where it had been and it was fine the rest of the way. I'd like to know what exactly happened that made them think they needed to evacuate the building...

But anyway, it was pretty good. If you liked the first one I don't see why you wouldn't like this one too. It definitely needed more Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Blind Al, though.

Also, there's a great mid-credits scene and no post-credits scene.

Honest question: does a single person here prefer to see movies in 3D?

I do when there's a movie that is actually made to take advantage of it. Like Avatar, for example. 3d really made that movie a more visceral experience.

But taking any random action movie and watching it in 3d does nothing for me.
