    Not in a 3-dimensional universe.

Pretty crazy that a team can spend ~$60M on a guy like Moncada, and prospectors unanimously don't even feel comfortable ranking him in the top 5. Shows you how underpaid domestic prospects are based on the market value. If Kris Bryant were a free agent, how much would he get - $100M?

Yeah but those are very different brain trusts. "Prospectors" spend more time on the draft prospects and consistently overrate them and underrate IFAs. I don't think the valuation that prospecters give on a guy like Moncada matches the valuation organizations would give. That isn't to say he's worth more more than Bryant but he's more than likely worth more then what the "prospectors" are implying in their valuations.

I don't know if that characterization is fair. They've ranked IFAs highly, continuously. Tanaka and Darvish were both #4 (BA). Cespedes was #14. Abreu was #35 I think. Those are pretty legitimate rankings that imply elite upside, but reflect reservations due to a lack of projectable data.

I would prefer to say that recent IFAs have exceeded reasonable expectations.

I thought IFAs were the younger International prospects. That's who I was reffering to.

Good add. You can probably turn a quick profit flipping him to Boxy.

    Yeah that's pretty pathetic.

GD adds Mike Pelfrey! Surprised someone like Boxy didn't rush out to do it. He had the worst peripherals of any pitcher in 2014 (min 20 IP) but may have a rotation spot.

But really, he's going to have to make plays for guys like this. His pen + Haren/Sabathia aren't enough to win the rates consistently if he punts counting stats.

Big Pelf is actually pitching well this spring too.

He told Mike Berardino that he's healthy and ready to produce: "When I’m healthy, I feel like I can get people out and I can be successful," he said. "I busted my tail to get ready and come out and perform. We’ll see what happens."
