Yes, for some reason I thought people would be grossly jealous of me for picking up Jordan Luplow at 8:01 PM yesterday.

Nobody said anything to me when I snagged Tzu-Wei Lin.

I don't have much prospect capital to offer in trades but I'll dangle Pineda. With the uncertainty surrounding him, he's basically a prospect now. His odds of providing a brief burst of good production in the near future is certainly not worse than that of a name pitching prospect (and you could even argue that it's better). I don't have a specific return in mind. I have a shitty team in a fluke potential playoff position, there's plenty of places to upgrade.

Glasnow is killing it down in the minors (although the walks are still a bit high). He hasn't given up more than 2 runs in any of his 9 starts, and has struck out double digits in 5 of them. 55.2 innings, 1.46 era, 2.51 xfip, 85 k's.

So I go to add Wilmer Font, thinking there's no chance he'd be owned, and he's owned. This league sometimes...

He immediately started pitching exclusively from the stretch after going down, and says it helps him keep his delivery consistent. I really want him to get recalled so we can see him in the majors. Dude has a 28% K-BB%. That's 5% better than super prospect Brett Honeywell's in the same league, and easily the best in the international League.

Uh yeah, I went through that same experience two months ago.
I mean, really, this isn't DDL.

I'm catching up on Effectively Wild, and they just discussed him on their June 29th episode.

Just one of those 'baseball is crazy' stories about how a year ago he was a bust pitching for the Ottawa Champions and now he's dominating AAA and likely to see MLB time down the stretch.
