    Oh god yes.

e: Wait, you meant thanked/post didn't you? BTS totally cheated, unlike me who's just a generous chap.

    R: Classic fantasy
    HR: Classic
    RBI: Classic
    SB: Classic
RC: Adds a little more whole value to counting stats, has CS and SB in as well. Is different from wOBA.
AVG: We all hate it, but feels weird without it (Everyone's guilty pleasure)
OBP: You all voted it, we all love it!
SLG: Completes the triple slash. They're a team!
wOBA: Keeps us sabr guys happy! Only 1/9 the weight and helps drag value closer to real life!

SW: Starter Wins - takes out randomness of reliever wins, and still feels familiar
    K: We all love it
    SV: Classic fantasy
HLD: Addition to SV and needed in this deep of league
IP: Credit for building a deeper team, and having guys that go late into games
DICE: FIP, a new cool shiny toy for some of us, still has some randomness in the HR and real events
WHIP: Has the more real life events and is familiar
GB/FB: Gets us GB lovers happy and gives more value to guys like Alvarez who can have good ERA and low K. Weighted only 1/9 though so not too heavy.
K/BB: A favourite of a lot of ours

Lots of players that contribute in different categories, especially on the Pitching side. You can choose to balance, choose to stack some cats whatever. I really like it for us.
I can definitely get behind this (and I actually DO really like having average as a fantasy category, just not as an evaluative one in real life). By 1/9 the weight, you don't mean a multiplier on the category, right? Just that it's only 1 of 9 categories overall so it doesn't skew things too heavily?

If North tries to stream relievers, he's going to get a very high draft pick next year.

I like the 9x9, not in love with IP as a category but the other options aren't much better.

Why don't we just use our board names for the team names? No confusion over who is what or anything.

Sensible, but boring. I could live with it. Even in the DDL, the odd time I have to check to see who owns a specific team.

Why shouldn't they? Kind of a pompous thing to say. I care.

I love the idea of doing the actual team and division. Lets just randomize it. 1 = Atlanta, 2 = Arizona, etc.

I like your idea of submitting a list of choices (ranks) and just randomizing. More work for you but we could be done with that pretty fast. People who don't care could be shoved to the end and assigned a random team from whatever is left over.

My only concern would be people choosing specific divisions, I couldn't care less about team names.

This works assuming JFaS is ok dong the extra work. Just throw my name into the randomizer and save some time.

Agreed. I remember during the basketball draft, GD was jokingly threatening to ban me if I drafted him in our division. Actually I think he was pretty serious, because I think he hates my guts.

That was my original thought as well. Just randomly assign numbers to each team and then based on the draft order assign each member to the corresponding team.
