    Wow. Love this for P2F
See the ball and let it fly, Watch the ball soaring through the sky, Higher like a comet in the night air, Defying gravity is rare, Let the ball fly, Its homerun time!!!!!

I'm surprised you all think the Stanton trade was trape. Stanton is a premium player, and by far the best in the deal. As trades of this nature typically go, he commanded a return similar to what I ultimately got for him. He's likely a top 5 or 6 asset in this league and only just turned 28 years old.

I got some nice pieces from JFL, but none of them will ever be as good as Stanton already is. I'm sure he's elated to get Stanton, and I just wish that I didn't have to move him, but my hand was forced. I had a dearth of depth due to my Trout trade, so this trade gives me back some pieces I lost and some flexibility to my roster.

I'm not complaining about it, but I'd much prefer to have Stanton if it made more sense for me to do so. It's damn difficult to pickup a player of Stanton's calibre in this league, or any league for that matter.

    Attn: Schwarber Guys!

Hey, you! Yes, you. Do you like Kyle Schwarber? Then step right up and discuss a deal! I'll move him for a piece or two.

I could be interested. He fits right in with Zunino and Gallo, who are gonna tank AVG for me anyway.

Never a good sign when the guy you traded with has to step in and defend your trade.

    I was pretty surprised about the reaction too. Obviously the price was going to be huge to get a guy like Stanton, but i was one of the few teams that had the depth to pull off such a move. Even with trading my ace my rotation is;
    1. Jameson Tallion
    2. Danny Duffy
    3. Rich Hill
    4. CC Sabathia
    5. Jermey Hellickson/Brett Anderson/Jake Peavy?/

That should be good enough to compete. Adrian Gonzales which i think he can bounce back to at least a league average bat, which is not great but will jump into LoMo spot.

I JUST FUCKING HATE THAT YOU MADE ME TRADE GORE.

    okok i'm calm now.

My best trades have been the ones most criticized anyways.

Another underrated aspect of this deal is it opens up some room for this guy:

"Miami Marlins first baseman Garrett Cooper will get some time in the outfield this season, Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill said. Cooper hit .359/.423/.634 in the minors this past season and was acquired from the Yankees in a November trade. He will also likely back up Justin Bour at first base. He's a name for NL-only owners to keep in mind for a later date, perhaps."

I was cheering against Cooper all season last year, because I wanted to see Mike Ford get called up instead.
I still think Ford will end up being the better hitter of the two.

I offered a lot as well, if that helps.
