I sense a conflict of interest here. I will trade you Hunter Dozier instead

    I propose two changes.

    1) I suggest trading batting average to hits. With the current setup, it encourages players to leave certain positions (catcher, shortstop, centefield) empty, as putting a lesser player in there, will do more damage to ratios, than they make up for with counting stats. By shifting avg to hits, it will shift the balance, so that players will be less likely to leave those positions empty.

    2) I suggest that if a team does not make their minimum pitching requirements. (20 innings pitched, 2 starts) in any given week, they drop down one spot in the draft each time. This will encourage teams to at least set their lineups, adding a competitive balance to the league (instead of a team auto-winning all pitching cats), and discouraging intentional tanking.
I'm okay with replacing a ratio with a counting category. Anything that makes owners field a full team is a good thing.

I am also very okay with this punishment for intentionally throwing a week away, but I can't see why someone should be made an exception for injuries. Only penalizing for back-to-back tank weeks won't work either since the owner can just tank every other week and then laugh at everyone while exploiting the obvious loophole. Instead, maybe each of the two minimum starts could be worth an innings count (say 10). So if someone only gets, say, one start that week, then they need to produce another 10 innings from the pen. 0 starts in a week means 40 bullpen innings to meet the minimum, or something (or maybe more, who knows).

We really should have made rule changes months ago though since it's pretty shitty for guys to build their team a specific way and then suddenly see a bunch of changes to how things are scored.
