Lugo still probably won't hit enough to stick at 3B. Oh well if he does though.

^This man. I have video from Game 5 of Texas, of my then almost 3 year old swinging a Blue Jays flag, going "Let's go Blue Jays, ch-ch....ch-ch-ch. Ten minutes later Jose hit his home run off Dyson. The trade for Cliff Pennington and every other move is part of that. Lugo could end up one day playing on a playoff team, maybe. Norris or Hoffman could win Cy Young's. I doubt it. Either way every Jays fan I know, knows where they were, when that home run was hit.

The funny thing is, that of all the prospects they traded away, who saw Lugo being at the top of any prospect list? You are not wrong that it sucks a little, but is he in the top 15 of our list?

Height and weight seldom ever get updated from their signing day. This is from Reyes signing (which was controversial at the time as it was exactly 1 year from the point he left the U.S. where he was born and raised).

Reyes has an athletic 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with long arms and saw his fastball increase from the high-80s to sitting at 90-94 mph by the time he signed.

1:15 When trading major leaguers for prospects, do teams value players close to the majors but with warts (Candelario, maybe Peraza) more or less than the higher rated but further away players?

    Eric A Longenhagen
1:15 Yes, some teams don't scout below Hi-A.

Hoping Zach Pop makes it to the bigs one day. It'll make up for the failures of Chip Cannon

Meh, just the part of drafting prospects you aren't able to sign. Every team has that.

    Cleveland has 3:

    11 Wil Crowe, rhp, South Carolina R-R 6-2 250 Indians ’16 (21)
    26 Joe Dunand, ss/3b, North Carolina State R-R 6-2 205 Indians ’14 (35)
    48 K.J. Harrison, 1b, Oregon State bba_video_icon_red R-R 6-0 208 Indians ’14 (25)

I guess technically as Steve Sanders is the new scouting director, should look at Boston's list.

    2 Jeren Kendall, of, Vanderbilt bba_video_icon_red L-R 6-0 190 Red Sox ’14 (30)
    30 David Peterson, lhp, Oregon bba_video_icon_red L-L 6-6 242 Red Sox ’14 (28)
    53 J.J. Matijevic, of/1b, Arizona bba_video_icon_red L-R 6-0 206 Red Sox ’14 (22)

Dang! Did not know they nabbed Kendall. Hopefully Sanders/Cherington magic has a few steals this draft.

I don't know if you got the impression that I was complaining or something but I was just merely posting the info in case someone found it interesting. I'm aware that lot's of HS picks go unsigned.

When Alford makes it to the show I'm getting a jersey with the number 103 on the back.
