    Tristan Pompey slashing a cool .371/.483/.573 as a sophomore at Kentucky, top 10 in the SEC in a lot of stats.
    Should be a day 1 selection in 2018 at this rate. Might be better than his brother?

    Not sure how his power/defense/speed tools actually grade out but it's clear he can hit.

    I remember reading that his bat is a fair bit more advanced than Dalton's at the same age.

    Dwight Smith Jr. with a 3-hit game tonight. It's time for the Jays to consider calling him up.. Bautista is currently killing the team right now with his lack of production when there's a potentially better option in the minors...

    Smith put up two very mediocre years in AA. There's no reason to believe this is anything other than a hot start, he shouldn't even be in the conversation for a callup

    Pentecost, Jansen, Guillotte and Thomas have all homered for Dunedin through 4 innings
    Howell pitched a clean inning with 3 k

    How good is the league Lansing plays in? Is what the hitters are doing for real or is it mainly a hitters league, so higher numbers are expected?

    Average age of hitters this year is 21.3 and the average OPS is .674. This year it's leaning towards pitchers so far.

    They're 18 and 19 and crushing the league averages. It's very impressive so far

    IIRC the run environment in the MWL is actually slightly depressed.
