It would have virtually eliminated the possibility of the Libs ever getting a majority government again. The Cons wouldn't want it either. Whether it was inconsequential or not is irrelevant. It was something he pledged to do and then reneged.

I understand you would probably love if he'd motorboat your little chode but please try to stay objective.

They don't want proportional rep because it could give some fringe party with 3 seats and their wacky values/ideas the balance of power.

Flynn probably doesn't fall on his sword this soon if not for publicly going over Pence's head. You don't humiliate the VPOTUS half way through week 4 and survive in your job. Now Pence must look like the sponge or else field questions on how complicit he was. "Mr. VP, if you weren't aware of Flynn's actions, how confident are you that other breaches of protocol and security by your staff aren't happening under your nose as we speak?"

The DoJ allegedly informed the administration of this weeks ago and nothing was done until it became too visible this week.

This is as juicy an issue as it gets for Trump opposition. It starts to connect the dots to Putin and the election interference which attacks Trumps legitimacy. There is a possibility that TRUMP and Flynn discussed the sanctions issue before Flynn spoke to the Russian Ambassador and neither of them told the VP as it would be too hot to handle. In other words Flynn acted under Trump direction. Seems odd he would freelance this? The transcripts will come out and they will be fascinating...giving this story more legs. Flynn received compensation from Russia and had a relationship with Putin. Raises the question of possible collusion between their campaign and Russia. Trumps tweet about how smart Putin is for not responding to the expelling of Russian diplomats now looks even more curious and suspicious. Was that all set up? I don't know...but I sure like the questions.

There are national security issues to attack them on for compromised and illegitimate communications. (add to this his patio dinner meeting on issues of national security at his business in Florida in front of his $200,000 a year guests)

There are alleged violations of the one government at a time principle.

It raises competence questions. The guy said he would keep America safe but his NSA choice resigns in disgrace falling on his sword 3 weeks in as part of a potential cover up.

There is also the allegation of cover up because they knew about this and didn't release it to the public.

This will help the DEMS use Trumps defense of Putin to allege conflict and push the argument that Russia has intel on Trump they can use to manipulate him.

This one will be the gift that keeps on giving. The GOP turned smoke into fire with HRC very effectively casting doubts. Be interesting to see how the tables get turned now. I look to see McCain and others start to become very active in this issue. He has always been puzzled with Putin and Trump relationship.

So? It's widely reported that Fox briefly touched on the Flynn news before airing a repeat of Bill O'Reilly and recapping a bunch of dumb shit like Piers talking about JK Rowling. Meanwhile other networks were having panel discussions on the Flynn news. I mean, the image is FOX timestamped. That's a few hours after the news release and it's not even on their ticker, lol

You know what I think is messed up..and sorry if the topic has been covered but I haven't caught up on this thread for a bit..

These CIA leaks are crazy. It's like they're taking the moral high ground all of the sudden. Like they haven't done back door deals with terrorists and plotted to overthrow foreign governments when it served their own interests. Not to mention the stuff we don't know about (which is the majority)

Just saying Trump is apparently being held to a different standard than past administrations. I don't think that sort of would've leaked in any other circumstance. The administration was clearly doing what they thought was in our best interest. Whether or not the masses agree isn't something we normally get to debate.
