wRC+ of about 125 vs. RHP over the past 3 years with the cubs. Don't look at his #'s with the Ad's.. .they hurt the eyes.

Good bet on his part. Him and his agent took one look at the Jays OF/IF depth and figured there will be a decent chance he gets a call up by June.

Nice depth signing, especially since he will report to Buffalo. Coghlan and Pompey give us the type of OF depth that a playoff team should have.

Remember when people were advocating a 3/24 deal for him earlier on the offseason? LOL

Lovely signing. I'd take him over Zeke and Goins right now, could platoon him with Upton as well. I'll eagerly await his call up.

minor league deal usually means minor leagues.

Gibbons will make Cabrerra disappear soon if we're lucky.

If Smoak starts the season badly and it results in Pearce being the full time 1B - then this is Smoak's replacement right here.

Makes no sense to have Smoak as a bench player because he can only play 1B. The front office can give Smoak a month or two as a last chance.

Most likely means Upton makes the team over Goins, which is the right move.
I donít suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
