    Vote on the worse trade

    The trades in question:

    Trade A:
    To Boxy:
    Otani
    Calhoun
    Wentz
    AJ Reed

    To P2F:
    Scherzer
    Britton
    Padlo
    Sheffield
    -----------------------------
    Trade B:
    To Jimcanuck:
    Byron Buxton

    To Boxy:
    Kyle Tucker
    Cyborg's 2018 MiLB 1st
    ------------------------------
I think it's pretty clear who the losers are on each deal, so just vote for which trade you think had the most value lost, by whichever evaluation you choose to use.

Hard to compare. Boxy got trained; he fucked Jim while getting boned by P2F

This seems like one of those situations where the guy being mocked is going to have the last laugh. Scherzer is 33 with 1850 innings on his arm.

Yeah, I don't actually mind this trade for Boxy. You got to cash in on a 33-year old arm before he declines. Lot of people got left holding the bag on Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee.
Otani is awesome, Calhoun looks like he will be great, and Wentz and Reed have potential. Not a bad haul for a 33-year old starter, a closer, and 2 guys he was gonna drop anyways.

Kyle Tucker is clearly much better than Buxton, so I'm not sure how Boxy got a 1st round pick as well.

The thing I see most worrisome about trade A, much like trade B, is that assets were added when just the one player was already hard to swallow. Buxton for Tucker is bad, but adding a 1st pushes the deal to insanity. Then on trade B, there's a lot of of solid prospects, but still prospects where two of them may not have a position and a guy who has yet to make the transition to America, for a top 3 starter at the time, and then elite closer Britton was added and two non-irrelevant prospects to boot.

Yeah, I'm really not sure why Org felt the need to make this thread but I'll be happy to bump it.

Did you miss the part where Britton has been injured all year and hasn't been elite at all when he has played? The reliever game can turn in the blink of an eye and I wanted off the Britton boat.

This thread will be amusing to revisit.

I don't mind being wrong on this, I hope both deals end up working out for all owners involved. I was legitimately curious if people shared my viewpoint on this, it wasn't meant as a mockery thread.

Well, I really don't get your intense hatred of the Scherzer trade at all. I got some really nice assets that are potential cornerstones down the road (especially since 2B is a bitch to fill with someone decent.) Any time you deal an established star for prospects, everyone always hates your side even if the return is pretty good. I even did get an established star (in Japan) and this thread still got made.

I dunno, it's just very curious that you dislike it so much but to each their own.
