An incredible career and he will be greatly missed by myself and many others.

Tom and Jerry were pretty much the sound of summer when I was growing up. I guess this means I'm officially old... That and the fact that it's 2 months 'til my 40th birthday...

Play by play is seldom a baseball guy. Unless it's a guy like Sawkiw who has been slowly moving over to it. He did the Pan Am games on his own so he was both play by play and colour. I think it will be a play by play person from another sport

Agreed, I can't see the Jays faithful happy with Wilner being in pbp chair for an extended period of time. The guy is wooden behind the mic, no charisma. Wouldn't surprise me if they gave Elliot Price the gig based on his years in Montreal.
Looking forward to Tuesday March 1st, 2018 > Blue Jays @ Phillies 1:05pm, Clearwater FLA >>Grapefruit League begins.

Absolutely heartbroken that Jerry's stepping down, but completely understand his reasons why. I will forever cherish the memories of Jerry and Tom Cheek calling the two world series; they were craftsman and I will sorely miss Jerry as I do Tom Cheek.
