He'll get really hot for a month, then get severely injured, and piss all over our hopes and dreams.

Grichuk had the worst AB I've ever seen. He's a fine player with a huge hole in his game but is he better suited as a starter or a 4th OF? Teoscar Hernandez is ready...
When Pearce gets hurt, I'd like to see Teoscar get some starts if Grichuk is still struggling. Going with the hot hand would be fully justifiable with Grichuk's $2.6m salary.

Not only does Grichuk suck but he ain't too bright swinging at the next two terrible pitches with a 3 - 0 count.

That was so brutal. I think by the third pitch he was completely rattled and had no idea what to do. He took it right down the middle and then tried to act like he got walked. I think he was just embarrassed at that point.

Well, we split with a vastly superior team, and then took 2/3 from a shitty team with the one loss being a 1 run game. I mean, not great, but could have been a lot worse.

I think that was the worst AB I've seen a blue jay have in my life.

Grichuk strikes out way too much. He doesn't have the kind of power to excuse such a high K rate. I reckon it's why St Louis shipped him off.

His value went down with me along with raising my blood pressure being mad at his selfishness of not taking a walk on 2 horrible pitches. Hope he is just temporarily stupid.

Actually, he has incredible power. The Jays took a flyer on him and one of the main reasons is because he has so much power. The hope is that as he matures, he develops more discipline and can develop into a more dangerous hitter. He's played 7 games and guys want to shit all over the guy. He looked awful in that at bat last night - there's no doubt. Maybe he's pressing a bit as he tries to fit in on a new team? It's a pretty natural phenomenon. Perhaps we could cut the kid a break and stop freaking out about one at bat and one game?

That means exposing a current roster player to waivers and hurting our depth 7 games into the season. He'll get his shot
