Yeah even if a video comes out of him beating the crap out of her, I still think he pitches again in the MLB. He's an elite reliever and under 25 years old. You could spin it that he's made a big mistake and changed his life etc..

Even if we assume the worst this isnt even Matt Bush territory. Dude was 30 throwing fastballs in a parking lot with an ankle monitor on when he made his return
As I said before...sports love a rehab story. Osuna needs to say the right things and do the right things now.

I don't know man one thing for people to hear about something happening. Another to actually watch it. We can only hope no video exists. I think the best play for the Jays is once hes eligible to pitch let him establish himself a dominate reliever before looking to move him. Trading him for pennies on the dollar would be a massive mistake. Always at least one team that will take a chance on talent and not give a shit about his character.

This same guy though sometimes come across black guys strolling down the street with their pants at their ankles and underwear showing. When he sees those people in his mind heíll start attributing some of the common negative stereotypes thatís associated with blacks

Is that man a racist or no?
Does the man attribute the same stereotypes to whites and asians strolling down the streets with pants at ankles and underwear showing?

Being anxious does not explain or excuse his alleged assault.

If that isn't anxiety, not sure what is.

Talent will almost always trump behaviour. Even if it's something horrible. If your talent level is that high, you'll get another shot.

Yeah it'd have to be seriously bad - like going to prison for multiple years - for his MLB career to over completely. IF it's as bad as the rumours then his Jays career is over, but someone else would still give him a shot.

There is still a chance than it's nowhere near as bad as the rumours and we may see him again.

If it is as bad as the rumours, wouldn't multiple years of jail be on the table? I'd expect someone to be jailed for a significant amount of time if they punched their spouse a few times then threw her down a flight of stairs, but I have no idea what the precedent is.

I'm no lawyer but I doubt he'd get over a year if his defence was it was an argument that got out of hand - plus he was only charged with assault not assault causing bodily harm.

But we're getting way ahead of ourselves here!

It would depend entirely on history, the severity of the assault, the safety of the victim/ witnesses and the likelyhood of him reoffending.

Without any knowledge of the case (assuming the above factors are satisfied)Iíd say heís looking at release on an recognizance with conditions to not contact her, attend court, etc. Heís already likely out, but tbh I havenít read any of the facts of the case in the news.
