I don’t understand why Schneider is only good enough to play once a week but when he does play he’s also good enough to bat 5th?

At least he’s in the game. Hopefully he can shake the rust off.

Joined this Board in July 2013 and have never done a GDT.

Might have to break one out if we don't win today and try to get some good mojo brewing.

First game I've been to in years

Was really hoping the roof would be open

But a win is more important

They'll probably open the roof at game time or soon after.

He also hit RHP much better than LHP the last two seasons in the minors, so there’s absolutely no reason to strictly platoon him.

This season has been really annoying overall.

Current management is clueless. Clean house for the most part, starting with Atkins. This team needs a new outlook, starting with a new overall plan/approach at the plate.

Idiots not playing Schneider when he's hot. This team is fucking dumb as fuck.

Schneider's usage as a platoon bat vs lefties continues to make no sense, considering his entire minor league track record before getting called up suggested that he hits better vs RHP than LHP.

would Horowitz outperform vlad RoS? Would the Rays bench Vlad for him or some combination of players?

Since May 1st, Biggio's hit better than Vlad, Springer, Whit and KK

Yes, but calling up Horwitz isn't necessary yet. Lineup against non-high velo righties should be:
    LF Whit
    SS Bo
    DH Belt
    RF Springer
    2B Schneider
    CF Varsho
    3B Chapman
    C Jansen/Kirk
    1B Biggio

Probably. I am mainly looking at Horwitz's BB% and SO% and they indicate there is a good chance he would not be overmatched in the majors. He is unlikely to be a star, but hopefully can produce similar results to Noda.
