See the ball and let it fly, Watch the ball soaring through the sky, Higher like a comet in the night air, Defying gravity is rare, Let the ball fly, Its homerun time!!!!!
Orelvis’s last few taters haven’t exactly been wall scrapers. Or juuust over that short right field porch.
Legitimate pop.

What's the record for most HR's in a minor league season? I googled it and came up with Joe Bauman hitting 72 home runs in 1954! And it said he never played a game in the majors - I looked it up and he hit .400 with 72 HRs - I'm like why the fuck wouldn't he get called up the majors...then I realized it was in some "C League" which is miles below A, AA and AAA I guess.
Anyone know? 46 by Ryan Howard is the most I can find...

Frasso on the bump today in Dunedin.
Here are a couple. Ron Kittle, long-time White Sox 1B, hit 50 with Triple A Edmonton in 1982. Tony Solaita, who played briefly with the Expos in ‘79, had 49 with High A Carolina in 1968. Ken Phelps (Triple A, Expos system) and Dave Duncan (High A, Kansas City A’s) both had 46, the same number as Ryan Howard.

Gallo's minor league numbers are probably the closest I can see to Orelvis.
Gallo at age 20 spent half the season in A+ where he dominated, then the second half in aa... his aa numbers were very similar to Orelvis's.
Gallo .250 .370 .590 approximate slash line in minors. Assuming Orelvis picks it up a bit with the walks as he learns the high minors that's probably where he ends up.
If we don't win this year we'll win next year, if we don't win next year we'll win the year after that.
Moreno's season slash line is now .347/.407/.459. wRC+ up to 138. SwStr% is a mere 6.1.
